Mariana Viera-Navarro is a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Miami, Florida who specializes in chelation and intravenous nutrient therapy. She began her medical career in 2002, practicing allergy and immunology at Lamas Medical Center where she held the position of senior Physician Assistant and clinical supervisor for 16 years. In 2019, she joined Dr. Goddard at the Osteopathic Center in Miami, Florida.
Ms. Viera-Navarro began her education at the University of Florida graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1997. She then went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) and Physician Assistant (PA-C) degrees from Nova Southeastern University, graduating in 2002. She is NCCPA certified and licensed in the state of Florida since 2002.
Early on in her career as a PA, Mariana expressed her interest in a functional & integrative medical approach to patient care. She closely followed developments in this area with a particular interest in chelation therapy, detoxification processes and intravenous nutrient therapy. In 2014, she received her Certified Chelation Therapist (CCT) designation through the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) and now provides chelation therapy and intravenous vitamin infusions as part of an integrative approach to optimal health and wellness.
She is also a Research Coordinator for the Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy (TACT2) study.
Throughout the years, Ms. Viera-Navarro developed an expertise in the evaluation and management of food allergies and anaphylactic reactions. Being the parent of a child with food anaphylaxis puts the theory into practice. She is an advocate for patients with food allergies and is a speaker at several Miami-Dade County schools and universities.
Mariana is excited to join the Osteopathic Center, where patient health is promoted through the treatment of the whole body while understanding the interconnection of all body systems and the effect of each on the other. Health is restored by addressing areas of nutritional deficiencies and toxicities and integrating evidence-based medicine with alternative/holistic treatments to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
The American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating physicians and other health care professionals on the safe and effective application of integrative medicine.
