Jonathan C. Hall | Great Smokies Medical Center
Asheville, NC | 828.252.9833

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Hall also has an MS in Human Genetics. As a resident physician, he spent electives training at Great Smokies Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Immersed in Great Smokies' integrative medicine philosophy, it was a natural progression that he joined the practice after completing his residency.

He is certified by ACAM in Chelation Therapy, and a graduate of both Bastyr University’s iCAM program and Chiang Mai’s Traditional Thai Medicine Practitioner’s Reflexology Training. He completed Ozone Therapy in orthopedics and internal medicine with Dr. Adriana Schwartz, president of the Spanish Association of Professionals in Ozone Therapy. Consistent with the general nature of family practice, his growing areas of special interest include botanicals, cardiovascular health, genetics, hormone, Chelation, musculoskeletal, and neural therapies; metabolomics, neurodegenerative diseases, nutritional detoxification, and orthomolecular medicine.

Dr. Hall views the patient-doctor relationship as the foundation for health and healing. He believes the best outcomes occur when patients are engaged in finding and maintaining their health and accomplishes this through interactive office visits and collaborative decision-making. This process allows root causes of suffering to be uncovered and avoids unnecessarily treating symptoms that could delay or prevent healing. Changing the landscape that created the suffering is the best way for healing to occur, and individual plans are customized for every unique situation. Comprehensive and specialized laboratory testing and interpretation is available for complicated cases, though most conditions can be resolved without extensive lab workups.
Constantly exploring the boundaries of science and technology to improve health and performance, Dr. Hall supports and participates in the “N of 1” movement and can often be found trialing therapies first-hand before they go live at the clinic.
