Safe and Natural Approaches to Prevent & Treat COVID-19 & Other Viral Infections

Dear patients and friends,
I hope you and your loved ones are remaining healthy and safe.
Medical offices are considered "Essential Businesses" so we are expected to continue offering healthcare services while following all of the CDC guidelines for maintaining a safe workplace. I am asking you to please take advantage of Telemedicine Services as much as possible in place of coming to the office if you can for both your and our safety.
I will now offer some specific ways to safely utilize natural, nutritional and herbal supplements proactively to achieve the following health goals:
- Protect you from viral and other types of infections
- Boost and, just as importantly, balance immune function
- Minimize the dangerous "over-inflammatory immune response" that is associated with the more severe complications of the COVID-19 infection
I will also present more Advanced Treatment Options below that would require a doctor’s prescription or the need to have the treatment administered at the office.
Theses are things you can take on your own at home:
5,000-15,000 IU Vitamin-D a day. You can have your levels checked to achieve a blood level goal of 80-100. Doses of 5-10,000 IU/day for prevention and 10-15,000 IU/day if you have an active infection. This high dose is not meant for long term use!!
25,000-50,000 IU a day for no more than 2-3 months or it can become toxic if levels get too high.
3. Buffered Vitamin-C:
2,000 mg 2-3 times a day.
25-50 mg a day and balance it with copper 1-2 mg a day.
5. Beta 1-3 glucan:
500 mg once a day for prevention or twice per day if you have any kind of infection. That’s the active ingredient in Beta-Immune which we have stocked at the office.
6. Olive Leaf Extract:
(also in our Beta-Immune formula)
7. Humic Acid and Fulvic Acid:
Can help prevent viral entry into cells and therefore decrease its ability to replicate. These are the main ingredients in Humacel.
500-1000 mg 2-3 times/day day for prevention or up to 5000-10,000 mg/day if sick.
At least 30-50 billion CFU a day. A healthy gut is essential for a healthy immune system. Also eat plenty of fermented foods like yogurt, kimchi and sauerkraut to keep your intestines well stocked with health promoting bacteria.
10. Elderberry Syrup:
Can boost immune function and tame the over-immune response. Besides it tastes good! Even children like it. It coats, protects and soothes your throat from infections and then it absorbs systemically to help your immune system in general. Our Immuno Drops formula has elderberry and other healing herbs in it.
11. Colloidal Silver spray:
There are preparations for both nasal and oral sprays. Silver is a natural antibiotic that you can spray on your nasal and throat mucous membranes.
12. Rhodiola and Ashwagandha:
These are adaptogenic herbs that help keep your immune, neurologic and endocrine systems strong and balanced, and help our bodies better handle stress.
13. Medicinal Mushrooms:
Reishi, cordyceps, maitake, ganoderma, shitake and tremetes are just a few of the medicinal mushrooms that have been shown to have antiviral, anti-cancer and immune boosting effects. They have ability to stimulate our Natural Killer T-cells which are the soldier immune cells that can identify and destroy virally-infected cells in our body and thus slow down the viral replication.
Take around 350-500 mg twice a day. It’s a strong immune booster, but better used as a preventive herb more so than a treatment for infections.
It's one of nature’s miracle nutrients. Derived from hemp (not cannabis so there’s no THC in it, the component of cannabis that has the mind-altering “high” effects). A. Vit-D and K:
2-3 caps per day
B. Buffered Vitamin-C :
Capsules and powder
1 cap a day for prevention or 1 twice if you have an infection.
1 twice per day for prevention or 2 twice per day if sick
e. Immune Drops:
Mix 1-2 dropperfuls into a couple of tablespoons of water and gargle with it a couple of times before you swallow. Twice a day for prevention or up to 4 times a day if you have an infection. Includes elderberry, beta-glucan, medicinal mushrooms and astragalus!!!
F. Probio-Sacchro :

Sublingual drops (put 3-4 drops under your tongue and hold it there for absorption twice a day as needed.)

Some of these treatments, although safe and natural, will still require a doctor’s prescription or will need to be administered on site in a medical office:

Let’s be clear that COVID-19 is new to medical science and there is a lot we still have to learn about it. There are no FDA approved treatments or approved vaccines currently available but clinical studies are being conducted at an accelerated pace on many fronts. These suggestions should equip you with intelligent options to keep yourself healthy and self-empowered. It’s not necessary that you take everything I have recommended above but you can do as much or as little as what feels right for you.
