WHY RECERTIFY?
As the TACT 2 Trial continues, the practice and application of Chelation Therapy is rapidly evolving. We are understanding more about the multiple effects of EDTA in reducing metal burden and oxidant stress. Both the assessment and testing protocols have been updated based on epidemiologic data and clinical evidence for toxic metal exposures related to water contamination and metal-on-metal hip replacements.

Toxicant exposures are increasing and making sure that Chelation practice includes an understanding of nutrient sufficiency and the application of methylation genetics is crucial for safety and effective Chelation outcomes.

As the recognized leader in heavy metal detoxification/Chelation therapy education, ACAM works diligently to ensure our curriculum is robust, relevant and of the highest caliber.
As such, ACAM published its much-anticipated Chelation Protocol in 2017, which is only available to CCT providers who review and recertify.
