Robert Jay Rowen, M.D., is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, acquiring double board certifications (and recertifications) in Family Practice, and Emergency Medicine, and additionally in Clinical Metal Toxicology. Dr. Rowen is affectionately known as “The Father of Medical Freedom” for pioneering the nation’s first statutory protection for alternative medicine in 1990, overcoming organized medicine’s vociferous opposition, inclusive of importing an infamous “quackbuster” to defrock him in a debate, which saw the quackbuster himself lose all credibility before Anchorage organized medicine rather than Rowen. Two years later, Alaska’s governor Hickel appointed him to a term on the Alaska State Medical Board against again contentious opposition of organized medicine and the appointment survived a legislative battle due to overwhelming public support.

He is internationally known for his clinical practice and teaching in oxidation medicine, as well as all aspects of integrative medicine. He is the Oxidation Workshop chairman for ACAM, and teaches oxidation to interested professionals in hands-on sessions quarterly in his office. He was editor-in chief of the highly respected Second Opinion Newsletter until recently.

He has just been invited by the President of Sierra Leone to lead a group specializing in ozone therapy to attempt to cure ebola in the midst of a deadly epidemic. He plans to travel on October 16 at his own expense (donations used for equipment and supplies only) to teach ozone methods in Freetown in an effort to save lives and perhaps awaken the world to a new paradigm in medicine. He humbly and respectfully solicits your prayers on this humanitarian mission.

He is internationally known for his work in the field of integrative/complementary and alternative medicine, providing unique insights to his patients and subscribers. Dr. Rowen is a clinician treating patients and a teacher, not a researcher
