From the Director's Desk
Michael Boutot, ACAM Executive Director
Well, the excitement is growing and the clock is ticking down to what is destined to be one of the BEST conferences in recent years for ACAM. We will be offering some of the first ever workshops and also expanding past sessions.

Everyone knows that ACAM has been known for over 40 years for chelation therapy. This past Spring we presented the first ever public screening of the movie "Unleaded", featuring long time ACAM member and newest member to our Board of Director's Roy Heilbron. We also had present for our Saturday luncheon Dr. Gervasio "Tony" Lamas, who provided a wonderful overview of the TACT Trial, validating over ten years of research on chelation.

More versatile approach to creating stem cells
Virtual Medical Centre
Stem cells are key to the promise of regenerative medicine: the repair or replacement of injured tissues with custom grown substitutes. Essential to this process are induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which can be created from a patient's own tissues, thus eliminating the risk of immune rejection. However, Shinya Yamanaka's formula for iPSCs, for which he was awarded last year's Nobel Prize, uses a strict recipe that allows for limited variations in human cells, restricting their full potential for clinical application.
