What to Expect at ACAM 2015?

Posted By Veronica Haynes, Executive Director, Tuesday, July 21, 2015
Greetings from ACAM Headquarters!

Have you registered for the integrative medicine meeting of the year - ACAM's annual meeting "Integrative Medicine's New Landscape - Practical Applications of New Technologies"? This year's meeting promises to be unlike any other! Under the direction of Dr. Ahvie Herskowitz, the Education Committee has put together a great lineup for this meeting in November. With a focus on PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS - that which you can take with you to begin utilizing first thing Monday morning - this meeting promises top CME lectures, amazing non-CME workshops and an emphasis on peer-reviewed, cutting edge content.

During last November’s meeting the members asked in overwhelming numbers for less CME credits if it meant receiving practical and cutting-edge education. Ahvie and the Education Committee listened and organized 10 non-CME workshops (CLICK HERE TO VIEW) which are hands-on, relevant, and the most-cutting edge in integrative medicine. We want you to leave this meeting with powerful knowledge at your fingertips taught by experts who excel in their respective fields of wisdom.
These workshops undergo the same peer review process as each CME lecture to ensure no bias or self-promoting is involved.

And have you seen the location of this year's meeting? AMAZING! Our conference room block, with special discounted meeting rates, is filling quickly and we don't want you to miss out on beautiful Red Rock Resort. REGISTER AND BOOK TODAY!

We look forward to hosting a great group of practitioners at the amazing Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas!
-Veronica Haynes, Executive Director

ACAM has been working hard to return integrity to the organization and ensures these rumors are untrue. In 2014 ACAM capped it’s exhibitor space to 50 booths down from 75. This year is the same. The 2014 meeting had 15 CME credits, 2015 will have 11.75, which is only a few less. The exhibitors did not ask for the extra workshops, our members did. They wanted a way for hands-on learning that can be applied to the office on Monday and will increase cash flow to their practice. With the limitations of CME, this was a way for ACAM to give attendees more tools to use in their practice. While we value our exhibitors, they are not the ones driving the agenda of ACAM – our members are.
