PRESIDENT

|
Michael Bauerschmidt, MD | Mount Pleasant, SC
When I first became interested in Functional Medicine I had a choice of
several organizations that promised the basic fund of knowledge I needed to be successful. I chose ACAM because their orientation has been and remains one of "Learn it on Friday, Practice it on Monday". The seminars and workshops have been more than worth the price of membership and meetings. I am proud to be associated with ACAM, who remains a leader in Functional Medical Education.

PRESIDENT-ELECT

Ahvie Herskowitz, MD | San Francisco, CA
ACAM is the only organization I know that represents a think-tank or brain trust in Integrative Medicine. Whenever I go to an ACAM meeting, coming from a background in major academic institutions, I am very encouraged by the openness of the speakers and leadership in sharing their knowledge. For me, ACAM has become my community, the one I want to support and sustain, so I can get energized and educated, and not just in the science of integrative medicine, but also in its practical applications in my office.

VICE PRESIDENT/SECRETARY
|

|
Lyn Patrick, ND | Mancos, CO
I went to my ACAM meetings in the mid-90s and was convinced that these were the doctors I wanted to learn from after my first meeting. As a licensed ND, I knew the benefit of chelation therapy and IV nutrition but I also knew I had to constantly update my understanding and practice of chelation. I was asked to join the Chelation Faculty shortly after that and have received great benefit from participating in a brain trust that is changing the way medicine is practiced.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT/TREASURER
|

|
Allen "Buddy" Green, MD | Los Angeles, CA
I went to my first ACAM educational conference in 1988 while I was still a senior resident in Family Medicine. I was so inspired to practice what I learned that I immediately became an "Integrative Doctor" from day one and have practiced that way ever since. I owe a great deal to ACAM in how it has shaped me as the doctor I am today.
